While I personally wouldn't have added the horror tag to this, this game was still a very unique, visually pleasing experience. All the animations are great and the hand drawn style for the sketchbook is fantastic. Sound design is also pretty nice though it was a bit too loud (I forgot to check if there was a volume slider but if there isn't one, definitely consider adding it). My main issue were the controls for switching modes for the pencil and picking up the lens and I explain it better in the video at 12:08. Overall, really great demo, I'll definitely be on the lookout for when the full game comes out. Your game starts at 8:02 on my video

Thank you so much for the insightful feedback! We’ll review the horror tag and look into adding a volume slider. We’ll also improve the tool-switch controls before the full release

such a fun game with a unique concept, i really enjoyed this and am excited for more :))

(+2)

Glad you enjoyed it! We’re working on expanding the concept and can’t wait to bring you full content.

(+1)

drawing the gun is so difficult :((

We know that bit can be tricky, so... hanks for flagging it! We're refining the sketch detection to make it more forgiving.

(+2)

i cant get past the part where you draw a gun

Sorry about the difficulty. We’ll adjust that segment to get clearer feedback and improve detection

(+2)

This game was very fun and unique! I love devs that try new gameplay styles and it defiantly pays off for this one. Cant wait for more content/drawings! Also hope its okey to post my video here. Its the second one about 15 minutes in. Thanks cant wait to see the finished product!

Thanks, Nicks! We’d love to see your video feel free to share it everywhere anytime 😄

I love this I truly can't wait to see more in the full version or more cases!! Great work!
(+1)

Really appreciate the enthusiasm! More cases are on the way, currently we can't fund the full version but stay tuned!

(+1)

MUITO BOM!! Eu não esperava esse final, omg

(+2)

Nice game!

(+2)

Never played a game like this, interesting concept
(+2)

idk how to play the game

>*

Hello! You can download the game on Windows.

(+2)

I enjoyed the adventure.

Thanks for this really immersive experience

I can't get passed the part where Christopher comes back and you have to draw a dresser. The game is great and I REALLY wanna see where the story goes but the game refuses to acknowledge the dresser im drawing and it is SO frustrating :(

Sorry for this bug :( You can clear the page completely using the button at the bottom left.

i did not expect the ending wow

(+1)

I'm really into the idea. As someone who grew up playing point-and-click object finding games, this very much feels like a step up to it. Also, very interesting way to get you thinking like a detective because you have to look around the scene and then quite literally draw a conclusion. Currently the gameplay is very simple but it is just a demo after all hoping. To see more in the future when it fully released!

as it is, I'll give it a 7/10. Looking forward to the full release!

(+1)

An awesome concept, it's very well made, interesting and fun. I hope to see more!

(+1)

WOW!

Insane plot twist, very cool game mechanics, really tested my drawing skills ahahha

Really enjoyed! Thank you!

(+1)

I am not sure what to do on the second page. I have done nothing on that page and h@nged the guy on the first. stuck :(

(+1)

you have to draw a gun

(+1)

after that?

(+1)

a bird

(+2)

thank u❤

(+1)

I liked the game, the ending caught me lacking a little tho

(+1)

Very interesting concept and story. Nice gameplay and visuals.

(+1)

Good game! Interesting concept and story. The ending is also unexpected. I'm curious about the next story. Looking forward to your next project.

(+2)

Really enjoyed the game, It didn't feel like a generic horror game and i forgot it was a horror game till the very end and can't wait for the full release
(+2)

I loved every second of this game! It had a great plot with multiple surprises and a twist ending! I enjoyed drawing the key items on each page and I wish there was more!
Great job and I can't wait to see what you create next!

(+2)

This was fantastic! I really hope you make more like this or continue the project!

(+5)

loved it. drawing with a mouse was a pain tbh but i love the storytelling and everything.

(+2)

This was really neat. Got stuck a couple of times, but the mechanics meant I could just search more systematically for reactive bits and find it eventually. Well done. Interesting, a bit of challenge, but not too frustrating. Curious to see where this project goes.

(+2)

good game but im stuck on the clock part even if I'm doing the drawing pretty good

Thank you! Probably a bug, probably related to the eraser and the fact that it doesn't erase all the way through, thanks!

(+1)

such an amazing and unique game! I loved the art style, the voice acting, the story literally everything. I’m so excited to see more

(+1)

Hey I played the game it's really fun and the hole drawing aspect of the game is very unique, and I loved it. But I wonder If I were to use a drawing tablet for the interaction would it still work?

Murder, infidelity, and a cliff hanger just another normal day (Death Sketchbook)

Oh, thank you! We honestly haven't tested it, but I think with mouse emulation it will work :)

(+1)

omg this is like one of the best games I have played on itch, I was so hooked

(+1)

Really cool game, great way of telling a story 10/10 wanna see more of this specifically horror related.; !0/10 Great work

vid will finish upload shortly.
(+1)

I thought this was -very- interesting. This was so cool! I find this to be a pretty unique concept. I'm looking forward to the full release.

Thank you!!! ;)

(+2)

I was hooked right from the start! Such an interesting way to tell a story! I don't normally like games that are "point and click" but this takes it to an entirely new level, and honestly, it is SO REFRESHING! I want the full game now!

P.S.

Did you "draw" any inspiration from the show LOST? There is a character on that show called "Sawyer" who has an extremely similar story as the character in your game!

(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I'm a big fan of the LOST series and I really wanted to reference it :)

(+2)

this was so cool! love the idea and mechanics... felt stuck at one point but got passed quickly! Great job!

(+1)

Thank you! :) Can you tell me at what point you took a long time to complete a level?

(+1)

just at the start I had missed some clues but once I figured the controlls better I didn't have any issues

(+3)

Hello!

I'm a Korean who just finished playing!

The game was so novel and interesting!!

I want to buy it as soon as it is officially released!!

Please consider if you can consider Korean translation!!

The game is so interesting that I think many Koreans will buy it!☆

*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Thank you! We are thinking about translating into many languages, including Korean! :) We're glad you enjoyed it!

Such an original design. The plot is catching, maybe the writing could be better. But you got a very good gameplay loop with just a few features. I find a bug, if you find some new vocabulary while TABing you'll write with the eraser. Hope you have a good develpment!

Thanks for the kind words! We'll fix the bug!

Great Game!

This was really great game and the story I really liked it I don't think I've ever seen this kind game before is really excellent and the hand in game bit weird liked little bit laggy but not big deal cause I enjoyed playing it anyway well done keep it up!

(+2)

Just Finished and that ending was CRAZY! I recorded a video, I'll link it when its up, But it was too good not to applaud you and your game first!

(+1)

Thank you! We look forward to your video! :)
